The General Data Protection Regulation 2018
New Data Protection Legislation came into force on 25 May 2018. The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) builds on the existing Data Protection legislation to help to ensure that your data is handled as you would wish it to be.

What personal data I collect and why I collect it
Website contact forms
Your personal data that you provide in the online contact form is emailed directly to only me. I use this data to be able to respond to your enquiry. Once I have responded to your enquiry, this is then deleted.
If you contact me via my website you may opt-in to saving your name, email address and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you complete the form. These cookies will last for one year.
Embedded content from other websites:
Articles on my website may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website.
During a physiotherapy appointment
Your personal data (name, DOB, address, GP, telephone number and email address) and personal information you have shared with me during our physiotherapy sessions) are securely held by me electronically.
All electronic records are securely stored using purpose built software known as Cliniko with password protection. The password is only known to me.
This data is used by me to be able to communicate with you regarding your appointments and treatments (by text, telephone call or email).
It is sometimes necessary for me to communicate with another health care provider (e.g GP, nurse, personal trainer/exercise instructor, consultant, massage therapist, osteopath, physiotherapist) or with your health care insurance company in relation to your care and treatment. Communication will be written and sent via post or encrypted email (using Egress Switch). I will always include you in any communication that I have which is for the purpose of your ongoing care and treatment by sending you a copy of letter/report.
Who I share your data with
Nobody. I do not sell or share data to third parties.
What rights you have over your data
Under the GDPR you have the right to request copies of information that I hold about you, the right to correct any mistakes in your information and the right to withdraw these permissions at any time by writing to me.
Where I send your data
Completed contact forms submitted via the website may be checked through an automated spam detection service.
All other data is not sent onto anywhere else without prior consent eg a referral letter for your insurance company or other health care professional
